Happily, Maher pulls it off like the pro we all know the letterer to be. Keeping the story flowing smoothly while staying out of the art’s way is no easy trick. The action is also aided by Maher’s lettering. The action sequences throughout the book are delivered wonderfully due to the artist’s excellent lines and Arciniega’s vibrant colors. Her power and her compatriots’ power are brought to the page wonderfully, thanks to Georgiev’s art. With Rachael by her side, Betsy delivers all the power and determination the character has come to wield as skillfully as the Starlight Sword. The design is fantastic as it blends the classic look of Captain Britain and adds a generous helping of sinister to it.īut while new characters and nefarious villains bring lots of drama and excitement to Betsy Braddock: Captain Britain #2, it is, of course, its namesake who holds center stage. Thanks to Le Fey’s interactions with this new Earth’s characters, Georgiev gets to showcase what Le Fey’s Captain Britain will look like. While not as unique as her reality’s version of Betsy, this character brings some great moments, as they are also caught up in Le Fey’s nefarious schemes. While this world’s Betsy is the target of Le Fey’s scheming, another “new” character also makes an appearance. Hopefully, we will get to see more of her in the future. Despite having only just met her, this version of Betsy seems like a cool character. ![]() Howard writes this new iteration of the book’s title character quite well. The world Le Fey travels to presents an interesting version of Betsy for readers to meet. What if she can find a Betsy of her own, one who hasn’t yet donned the mantle of Captain Britain? Her pursuit of a less prepared target forms the core narrative of Betsy Braddock: Captain Britain #2‘s plot. With the Captain Britain Corps providing a united front to her advances, Le Fey sets her eyes on an easier target. But where has she gone to in Betsy Braddock: Captain Britain #2, published by Marvel Comics, written by Tini Howard, art by Vasco Georgiev, colors by Erick Arciniega, and letters by Ariana Maher? Before Betsy can pin down her opponent, the sorcerous is gone off to attempt a new approach in her war against Betsy.
